Tauren
World of Warcraft: Forever
Always the tauren strive to preserve the balance of nature and heed the will of their goddess, the Earth Mother. Recently attacked by murderous centaur, the tauren would have been wiped out, save for a chance encounter with the orcs, who helped defeat the interlopers. To honor this blood-debt, the tauren joined the Horde, solidifying the two races' friendship.
History
The shu’halo carried their traditions across Kalimdor’s plains through generations of travel and conflict. Their bonds with other peoples grew from the need to defend their communities and secure a lasting home.
Culture
The Earth Mother, ancestral wisdom and respect for living things hold a central place in tauren life. Hunting, storytelling and spiritual practice teach that strength carries a duty to preserve balance and care for the tribe.
Origins and homeland
Mulgore’s grasslands and towering mesas provide a homeland closely tied to tauren identity. Thunder Bluff brings tribes together above the plains, while paths below connect grazing lands, camps and places of remembrance.
