Troll
World of Warcraft: Forever
Once at home in the jungles of Stranglethorn Vale, the fierce trolls of the Darkspear tribe were pushed out by warring factions. Eventually the trolls befriended the orcish Horde, and Thrall, the orcs' young warchief, convinced the trolls to travel with him to Kalimdor. Though they cling to their shadowy heritage, the Darkspear trolls hold a place of honor in the Horde.
History
The Darkspear belong to a much older world of troll peoples and kingdoms. Displacement and dangerous enemies shaped their own story, making survival and the bonds of a small community especially important to their identity.
Culture
Relationships with the loa, respect for tribal traditions and knowledge of the wild shape Darkspear life. Their spiritual heritage belongs to a distinct people, whose customs should not be confused with those of every other troll society.
Origins and homeland
The Darkspear story leads from tropical islands to the shores of Durotar. Sen’jin Village and the Echo Isles connect memories of an island homeland with the continuing effort to protect a place for the tribe.
