Mining - WoW Classic Era

Mineral deposits provide ore, stone and gems. Miners supply blacksmiths, engineers and, where available, jewelcrafters.

Mining

Mineral deposits supply several crafts. Blacksmithing and Engineering have used mined materials since the earliest editions; Jewelcrafting joins them in The Burning Crusade. You do not need to run a workshop of your own to gather minerals.

Gather materials for chosen recipes or the needs of other players. Ore, stone and gems serve different purposes, so review your intended plans before selling everything. Check the requirements of each deposit in the edition you play.

Getting started

  1. Learn Mining and check its tool requirements.

  2. Find deposits available at your skill level.

  3. Gather materials and keep those required by your chosen craft.
