Undead
World of Warcraft: Forever
Free of the Lich King's grasp, the Forsaken seek to overthrow his rule. Led by the banshee Sylvanas, they hunger for vengeance against the Scourge. Humans, too, have become the enemy, relentless in their drive to purge all undead from the land. The Forsaken care little even for their allies; to them the Horde is merely a tool that may further their dark schemes.
History
The Forsaken are undead who regained their own will after serving the Scourge. Freedom did not restore their former lives, leaving them to build an identity from memories, loss and the determination never to be enslaved again.
Culture
Forsaken society brings together survivors with very different answers to life after death. Apothecary research, military service and the preservation of old memories all reflect the search for purpose in a world that often fears them.
Origins and homeland
The ruins of Lordaeron and the shadowed countryside of Tirisfal are central to the Forsaken story. Familiar human settlements and burial grounds carry the traces of both the kingdom that fell and the people who endured its destruction.
