Races
Draenei - Legion
Legion
The draenei descend from exiles who fled Argus rather than embrace the Burning Legion. Generations of flight carried their people between worlds, preserving hope and a commitment to resist the forces that pursued them.
Playable since The Burning Crusade
In patch 7.3.5, Nightborne, Highmountain Tauren, Void Elves and Lightforged Draenei were available early with a Battle for Azeroth pre-purchase.
History
The draenei descend from exiles who fled Argus rather than embrace the Burning Legion. Generations of flight carried their people between worlds, preserving hope and a commitment to resist the forces that pursued them.
Culture
Faith in the Light stands alongside learning, craftsmanship and the memory of lost homes. The draenei’s long experience of exile gives protection of others and responsibility to the community a deep personal meaning.
Origins and homeland
Argus is the ancestral world at the beginning of the draenei journey, while Draenor became another important home. On Azeroth, the Exodar and Azuremyst Isle mark a further chapter in that long history of settlement and survival.
