Nightborne - Legion

Legion

Suramar survived ancient catastrophe behind a magical barrier, leaving its people isolated for thousands of years. Dependence on the Nightwell and a later conflict with the Burning Legion made their eventual freedom a turning point in nightborne history.

Playable since Legion

In patch 7.3.5, Nightborne, Highmountain Tauren, Void Elves and Lightforged Draenei were available early with a Battle for Azeroth pre-purchase.

History

Suramar survived ancient catastrophe behind a magical barrier, leaving its people isolated for thousands of years. Dependence on the Nightwell and a later conflict with the Burning Legion made their eventual freedom a turning point in nightborne history.

Culture

Arcane scholarship, elaborate etiquette and finely worked art reflect Suramar’s long cultural inheritance. Life beyond isolation asks the nightborne to bring that heritage into new relationships while remembering the cost of dependence and division.

Origins and homeland

Suramar stands in the Broken Isles, its luminous streets and spires surrounded by ancient ruins and vineyards. The city is both a remarkable survival from the elven past and the centre of a people learning to face the wider world.
