Herbalism - Wrath of the Lich King Classic

Discover plants along roads, in forests and across the wilderness. Herbs supply alchemists and, in editions featuring Inscription, scribes.

Herbalism

An herbalist gathers materials without needing to run a crafting workshop. Keep herbs for Alchemy or supply them to other players. In editions featuring Inscription, plants also provide materials for scribes.

Combine gathering with your quest routes and exploration. Before setting out to find a particular herb, check the profession requirements in your edition. A beginning herbalist will not necessarily be able to gather every plant encountered.

Getting started

  1. Learn Herbalism from a trainer.

  2. Find plants during your travels and check their gathering requirements.

  3. Collect herbs for your own recipes or for other crafters.
