Returning to Northrend
Northrend carries memories of the campaign against the Lich King. The Last Titan returns to the frozen north at a different moment in Azeroth's story, with the world's future still uncertain. Blizzard has confirmed this destination; further reveals will explain what the return means for its heroes.
The final chapter of the Worldsoul Saga
The War Within, Midnight and The Last Titan form the three-part Worldsoul Saga. Blizzard's BlizzCon 2026 recap identifies Midnight: Eclipse as the story leading into its final chapter. Concluding the saga is not an announcement that World of Warcraft is ending: Blizzard also describes a foundation for future stories.
When does The Last Titan release?
Wowhead lists 2027, but no exact day or month has been provided. The official BlizzCon recap promises more information in early 2027, following the events of Eclipse. A launch window, a presentation date and the start of testing are separate milestones; this page will distinguish them.
Is a developer client available to download?
Our check of five public Battle.net channels on 31 October 2026 did not identify a The Last Titan client. The wowdev channel currently lists 12.1.5.69594, while the available PTR belongs to the 12.1.7 line. A developer channel name alone therefore does not establish access to the next expansion. This is a public metadata check, not a claim about Blizzard's internal tests.
Classes, races and talents
The announcements cited below do not publish a complete set of new talent trees or playable additions. Our Midnight calculator remains labelled as Midnight. Once a verifiable The Last Titan client becomes available, its data will receive a separate version and calculator.
For now, plan your Midnight talents or compare available game versions.
