Game versionsClassic Era
Live service
Classic Era preserves the original-era journey as a separate Classic service. It is not the original Vanilla executable and is not the progression branch.
Its enduring world differs from realms moving through later expansions. Character rules and service updates still need their own verification, even when the geography and class names are familiar.
Point talent trees belong to the exact Era client and balance version. Hardcore, Anniversary and seasonal modes remain separate entries until data establishes which mechanics can safely be shared.
Classic release (EU) Official information ↗
Before Burning Crusade Classic, players can choose to remain on Classic Era realms or progress onward.
Official information ↗Launch dates refer to the named region. A month or year reflects the precision supported by the source. Early access and pre-expansion updates are listed separately; the selected client may come from a later expansion patch.
