Historical context
Cataclysm Classic brought the shattered world to Classic progression. Its specialization restrictions and client changes deserve their own ruleset.
The story and new playable options revisit the Cataclysm period, while the service belongs to a later Classic release. Its historical phase must not be confused with current Classic progression.
A correct talent engine must enforce the selected primary specialization before permitting off-tree spending. The original expansion and Classic data need independent provenance even when that broad model is similar.
