WoW Vanilla

Historical context

WoW Vanilla

WoW Vanilla is the original version of Azeroth, before the Dark Portal reopened. This historical context is separate from Classic Era and seasonal re-releases.

Game context

The original continents connect local conflicts, faction loyalties and long journeys between settlements. Race and class choices have restrictions specific to this period; later additions do not appear retroactively.

Character development

Points develop talent ranks across three class trees. Deeper rows require earlier investment, while particular talents may depend on a preceding choice. Mixing trees is possible, so a character build need not follow a single fixed specialization.
