Undermine(d) put goblin society at the heart of The War Within
The February 2025 update introduced Undermine, cartel politics and a very different way to travel around a city.
Blizzard announced the release of Undermine(d) on February 25, 2025. The War Within update centered on a goblin city divided between Bilgewater, Blackwater, Steamwheedle and Venture Co.
Fast wheels and a separate seasonal opening
D.R.I.V.E. introduced a vehicle built for Undermine’s streets. The update also added two Delves, Operation: Floodgate, the Cage of Carnage arena and the Liberation of Undermine raid, culminating in a confrontation with Gallywix.
Season 2 was scheduled separately for the week of March 4, bringing seasonal rewards and a new Mythic+ rotation. The patch release and season opening should therefore be read as distinct dates. Regional maintenance also affected when the update reached each region.
